SPRING BREAK

Confession…this week is Spring Break.  Last week I had grand plans of cleaning my brains out. It’s day two and I cleaned yesterday but my brains are still in tact.

I realized yesterday that I don’t often have the opportunity to just sit still.  I don’t often have the opportunity to just sit in my house and not NEED to be anywhere or do anything. I can read a book if I want to. I can sew, I can crochet, I can look for new recipes…the possibilities are endless. So, I will make time to do the cleaning I was planning to do, but I think I need to make sure I plan to sit still and relax and rest in the quietness of an unscheduled week.

Until another confession…

Mi Familia pt. 2

Confession…I am sad the weekend is over. I enjoyed laughing with my cousins, catching up with my Tias and Tios. I loved holding new additions to our family and holding hands of the wise elders. I am a blessed woman. There is always so much love.

Thank you all for a great weekend! Until another confession…

Mi Familia

Confession…I come from a HUGE family. I have 11 aunts and uncles. They average about 3 kids per siblings. The kids have begun having children. Let’s just say, family wise, I am associated to at least 100 people. This weekend, we are meeting for our 10th annual reunion. It is going to be epic.
What I love most about my family is that their stories are inspiring. They
would never say so, but they are strong and they are suvivors. They get knocked down and do their best to get back up again.
I can’t wait to see them and catch up! Stay tuned for follow up pictures.
Until another confession…

Exactly Right

Don’t wait until people do things exactly right before you praise them.

Confession…this quote has me thinking a lot today. Do I need people to do things exactly right before I give them positive feedback. Do I withhold praise because my standard has not been met? How would I feel if people dealt with me in the same way?

I don’t really have a response to my questions yet, but I figured they were good questions to be asking. What do you think? I’d love to hear your comments.
